Harnessing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for Uncovering Knowledge Gaps
The paper presents a methodology for uncovering knowledge gaps on the internet using the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) model. By simulating user search behaviour, the RAG system identifies and addresses gaps in information retrieval systems. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the RAG system in generating relevant suggestions with a consistent accuracy of 93%. The methodology can be applied in various fields such as scientific discovery, educational enhancement, research development, market analysis, search engine optimisation, and content development. The results highlight the value of identifying and understanding knowledge gaps to guide future endeavours.

Sony's 360 Reality Audio speakers are now available for pre-order
Sony debuted its immersive 360 Reality Audio music format in 2019. But until now, if you wanted to tap into the limited content library, you had to rely on another company's speakers to do so -- like Amazon's Echo Studio. As part of its plans to expand 360 Reality Audio, Sony revealed that two speaker models of its own would go on sale this spring: the SRS-RA3000 and SRS-RA5000. We didn't have to wait long for details. During CES, the company's UK site posted full specs on both speakers.
AI-driven brand insertion adds value to content libraries
Library sales to streaming companies have helped to keep revenue flowing for content owners during lockdown. Now, they can take advantage of a new technology that can digitally insert branded products and promotional items into finished content. Its platform uses AI to identify the most natural and meaningful placement opportunities, and then employs VFX technology to insert real-world objects that weren't in the original shoot, like a vehicle or a bag of potato chips, or overlays existing brand imagery with new product shots. Mirriad can boast an impressive list of media clients it has worked with, including Tencent Video, 20th Century Fox, RTL, Channel 4, France TV and ABC. Brands they have helped include Pepsi, Sherwin Williams, P&G, Huawei and T-Mobile.
Jukin Media Partners With Primis for Video Content Generation
Primis, the video discovery platform, has reached an agreement with Jukin Media, the global leader in user-generated entertainment, to distribute about 800 hours of Jukin's programming across the Primis network. This will allow Jukin to extend its reach to new audiences, while Primis will add the high-quality content provider to its extensive video content library. The company's content library of more than 60,000 videos has collectively received more than 100 billion video views across social media, making it one of the most viewed video collections in the world. "I see great potential in this partnership, and we're excited about adding Jukin Media to our vast content library," said Omri Polak, Head of Content at Primis. "I believe that Jukin is challenging the conventional thinking about verticals like news and sports and the right type of content for each, while taking an active role in shaping the future of storytelling online. Combining Jukin's content with Primis' video discovery engine will benefit our publishers and help connect users to relevant and engaging content."
Researchers at VideoGorillas Use AI to Remaster Archived Content to 4K Resolution and Above - NVIDIA Developer News Center
Over the past few years, film and video standards have continued to evolve. There is a growing demand for higher fidelity imagery and resolutions to deliver a more immersive viewing experience. With 4K as the current standard and 8K experiences becoming the new norm, older content doesn't meet today's visual standard. The remastering process aims to revitalize older content to match these new standards. It has become a common practice in the industry, allowing audiences to revisit older favorites and enjoy them in a modern viewing experience.
